Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is a famous Indian actor, known for her performances in the films Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Haiin Koun..! She began her career in the late 1980s, and rose into prominence thanks to her character in Tezaab, a film in which she appeared with an established actor Anil Kapoor. In her next film Dil, Aamir Khan appeared with her. In Mumbai, she was raised in a family of middle-class parents. When she was a young stage, she was able to study dance. At the age of 16 she started acting, and suffered for several years as the majority of her first films were failures. She found fame and became one of the top film actors. The actress took a hiatus from her profession due to her marriage, before going back to the world of entertainment. In recent times, she was in an important part in Gulaab Gang. The film featured the challenges faced by women across India. Dixit has received 15 Filmfare Awards nominations, of which she took home eight. Padma Shri is the fourth most prestigious civilian award in India. Her name is well-known for her social works as well.
